Security

At the American App Hub, we take security seriously. This article discusses several of our publicly-disclosed security practices.

Encryption

Our website and mobile app use modern security methods. For example, all communications are encrypted in transit using the Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol. Secure (HTTPS) browsing is enforced.

Installation Integrity

We do our best to ensure that app downloads remain safe and secure. For example, all non-browser communications are confirmed using certificate pinning. Apps are also confirmed before installation using a SHA-256 hash.

App Integrity

We have strict policies against fraud, impersonation, and inappropriate content. To mitigate impersonation, an app's package name and signing certificate must be identical across all updates. All apps are scanned for malware before publication. Also, all apps are checked for compliance with our Content Policy. Contact Us to report violations of our policies or to request an app takedown. We will usually respond within 7 days.

Minimal Data Collection

We do not collect excessive amounts of personal data. Personal information that is never collected or shared with others is secure by definition. See our Privacy Policy for more information.

Important Note

Reasonable steps have been taken to keep this platform secure. Some of these security measures may not be publicly disclosed. Ultimately, except as required by law, the American App Hub does not take responsibility for third-party content. All software has vulnerabilities, whether known or unknown. Therefore, we make no guarantee that this platform is 100% secure.
